I'm not a fan of the new prone code, makes it alot harder to keep track of wahts going on in pk. Everyone knows that during massive combat spam it can be hard to keep track of whats going on. In the past, during the massive combat spam you could get bashed, and then enter a command knowing that when you stand back up the command will go through, making it actually possible to get [REDACTED] done. Now if you get bashed, since certain commands work while bashed, you can't effectively type something like 'quaff recall' because all that will do is possibly extend the bash time (doesn't' make any sense). It would be nice if when you entered commands that wont work while your bashed, they wait to fire till when you stand up. At the very least take away the lag that is associated with typing in commands that you can't complete. Not to mention bash and trip seem skewed now. I see people stay bashed for well over 3 ticks sometimes. |

Actually, I really like the idea that commands which cannot be used while bashed could enter a queue. For example, this happens: Code: You are bashed!
worth dirt bash info You are almost halfway <info screen> <a couple of rounds pass> You regain your footing You kick dirt into xxx's eyes, blinding him! <dirt kick lag> You bash xxx, sending him sprawling! Forgive my caricature of game code, but hopefully you get what I mean. |

It adds more tactics than just spam bash, or a quaff word and hope the bash lag ends and you instantly get out. Now it takes more skill for the player to PK or avoid PK. Prone code is one of the best updates ever. |

Now it takes more skill for the player to PK or avoid PK. Prone code is one of the best updates ever. Actually bashers are still spamming bash, only the bashee cannot spam bash. |

If a basher misses a bash though, he gets owned by his own prone and spam bash afterwards. |

Just for the sake of my curiosity, when was the last time you played a character who spent much time in danger of being bashed, DA? |

Just to answer you, I have more chars than just a gnome priest atm. And since some of them have access to bash, I've seen that spam bash might completely get you killed if you miss one bash. And I've seen that it's doable to flee from a bash if you know how to time your flee command and are fast about it. It just takes more skill than before that you simply stacked commands while you were bashed. |

I love the prone code. I laugh so hard when I read logs and people get bashed, then spam stuff like retreat/bash/quaff and proceed to get owned because they're lagging themselves like idiots. You actually have to THINK a little bit when trying to pk now. Prone also vastly improved your chances of getting away from a spam basher. JUST WAIT FOR THE "YOU REGAIN YOUR FEET" MESSAGE and QUICKLY enter your command, and you will most likely get away. |

Being lagged when typing a command while prone makes no sense. Allowing a queue does make sense. Why, if I were in a fight, and I try to pick up a fire hydrant to beat you about the head with, would I not do it immediately upon getting the opportunity? I'd just struggle to my feet (eventually) and stand there going "lol, here I am." Not a problem for me, I can just enable and disable appropriate triggering, but for others... Bummer. |

Who cares if it makes sense? Things that require you to think about what you're doing are good for the game. You don't even need a trigger, just type in flee or quaff word AND HAVE SOME PATIENCE. |
