When did this happen? Or did I never notice it? |

When the new hall of creation was introduced. Same time as minotaurs. |

As has been stated many times before, these ridiculous limitations need to be eliminated. Sprites CAN be principled and dogmatic, even if the game says they can't. Rogues CAN be principled and aberrant, even if the game says they can't. This is a case of the game being wrong, and it's a shame to think that someone might feel limited because of such an inane policy. |

Agreed, bad choice D. |

This was a great choice. You can't possibly tell me that sprites have the self-discipline to live by a set of principles. If they could, they'd have the self-discipline to be priests, too. This long needed to be made consistent. Granted, if I really tried, I could probably come up with a case where principled was the least bad choice for a sprite. But I'd rather see a different character made, than to routinely allow principled sprites. Bad alignment choices are a problem, and low-cost fixes are worthwhile. |

It shouldn't be a hard coded no, but a choice for the player so they can excercise some creative liberty and try to play something outside the norm. |

I can, and do. As someone who has played low-key self-disciplined sprites, and successfully. They SHOULD be able to be priests, but because of balance issues of sprites wearing heavy armor, they are barred that choice. |

Back to a racial code, griffons and centaurs have race specific things coded, no reason sprites couldn't be barred from heavy armor. *cough*add to list*cough* |

Of all of the changes, this makes the least sense. Just because a species has a tendency to not do something doesn't mean it is true with them all. I am pretty sure that people can make a laundry list of sprites that successfully pulled off being principled. |
