Bards really need to get shield block, I don't know why they wouldn't get it.

Give them shield block, but give all the other classes the skill Ignore. Simply put you ignore all of the bard songs. |

The one thing I appreciate about this thread, is that it represents one less IDEA entry that I have to stomp on. This is the correct place to propose such things and argue why it is needed, instead of a one line comment via the IDEA command in-game. But err.. as far as being on-topic? Sorry, I'm not a supporter of your bard theory. |

However is we MUST be on topic... Bards have dance, dance doesn't just increase the songs strength. It is also like having advance dodge. You will avoid things like bash and trip more then any other class in the game (so long as you are not a centaur). |

Please could bards get shield block? I agree with mundufisen, bards utterly sucks in combat. They have a really hard time sustaining themselves unless they are a member of a certain cabal. Actually bards are worthless unless in groups. PS. Persuade sucks, even with an elf. |

Persuade is amazing. Extremely few bards are active pkers, but if a competent one ever came around (I don't think I have ever seen a veteran pker use a bard) it could bring about huge pain. |

Bards completely DESTROY in combat. Just not like a fighter class, and not like a caster class. They're hard to play (On account of low HP) but have ridiculous potential. Songs of sleep/silence are like wtf? That stuff will trash an enemy group. |

The problem with bards is that they die in 3-4 rounds versus most professions. They are ONLY useful in group vs group combat. Sad but true. |
