I will [REDACTED] about it. Using it against a necro is a valid and intelligent tactic. Using it to bypass the law code becuase it is not considered an aggressive spell sucks. There seems to be no save against it and shaman can use it to attack, run away and come back after the army is dead, but don't get outlawed for it.

You can't make a spell that is a buff to the majority of the mud against the law.

If this is changed, a certain Harlequin spell needs to be changed as well. Especially considering that spell is NEVER used to benefit anyone.

Not really in the spirit of having a law code when you can bypass it so easily. The spell is devisating to anyone who requires concentration AND there is no punishment for using it in an aggressive manner.

Really, I'd be more worried that I was able to blind someone and put them to sleep, and not get reported for that either.

Law code is pretty much worthless, this is a well known fact.

Doesn't seem like it should be that difficult a fix. Make it case-sensitive. Casting frenzy on a group member is positive, casting it on someone else is an attack. If anyone wants the buff, they can join up in a group with the caster for long enough to get the spell.

Honestly, if something this little is going to be changed, then all sorts of other things need to be made against the law. Like all of the room-affecting cabal spells, the Harlequin spell that -completely- stops you from casting, etc.

Oh, shrink/enlarge should be made aggressive too then. I can enlarge a human or something to huge, they'll drop all their eq and I can junk it or pick it up. (Done it before.)<---A billion times worse, IMO.

There is absolutely zero need to make this an offensive spell.

I'm all for loopholes and abuses being adjusted for or removed from the system, where found. The idea of case-sensitive spells in particular is nothing new.

Also, Shamans are the only class that can use frenzy on someone that isn't the same aura as them. The spell was -meant- to be offensive for shamans. And honestly, I have other stuff I'd rather have Big D working on.

Leave my already gimp class alone.

This thread is hereby officially added to the, "easily solved by changes to the law code" list.
