I do not think charm is imbalanced. People may be abusing it and it may be gaining popularity because of it effectiveness against most of the pbase. But it's not like someone else couldn't max out their stats for any other multitude of spells, skills and tactics and still beat the hell out of people with it.
Part of the failure here is everyone refusal to do anything that the charmer wants you to do.
I assume most of this has been because of Emet, but from what I have seen, whether you think his RP is good or not, at least he talks to you instead of 'charm, c fly charmed, fly over city, release fly charmed'. Though if he has done that, I see a lot more of him talking to his charmee than dropping someone over a city. The only weak thing about charm is that you can order someone to cast cabal spells. Like you would Icly know the magical incantations that requires experience to learn. I think you should get cursed for ordering someone to cast cabal spells.
Sucks to be charmed, but it also sucks to be cleaved, backstabbed, taunted, bashed, tripped, cursed and voodooed. And Magma sprayed. I'm sure there are others, sleep was mentioned I think.
I also think that most of the bitching about charm that goes on in the game is ooc. I think we should tone it down a little and maybe just avoid the charmer. We might all enjoy the game a little better if alot less people were "OMGZ did you see that gimp pull that sh1t!!! tell gimp YOU SUCK!!!111!!1...

SK is fun for me, don't know about most of you though... doesn't seem like alot of you are having fun unless you never get killed and kill everyone.
