Post subject:  (Idea) Shattered Kingdoms Death Match

Alright lets see how much flame this topic can gather.

Apon my last 24 hour guard shift I composed a list of great ideas that would improve sk for everyone. I came up with this great idea called SK death match. It has been done in a few other Muds that I have played in the past and it has drawn a lot of new players to come experience the true affects of the mud itself.

The General outline of SK Death Match.

First and Foremost the entire game will be halted and saved one Thursday night. The next Friday morning you log on and create a new character this new character selection process allows you to choose your race, class, align, religion and starting kingdom. All character's will be started at level 50 with all maxed stats, skills and spells for the chosen race/class. The only thing to do is get armor, weapons, spells and pk. That would be the whole emphasis of SK Death Match to have a good weekend maybe one out of the year or month to just let out all your frustrations and hatred for other players that apparently a lot of us have in pure pvp action. Also all items would have a no junk flag, meaning if your not going to loot the person and hold all that extra weight you just leave it there. Then once the weekend is over Sunday night, the game gets reset back to where it was no losses of armor or anything just like a normal reboot.

I know this is only an idea but I have faith that if something like this did happen it would draw a lot more people than regular bonanzas. I know people get the image of the l33t players running around ganking everyone and there mothers taking cabal relics, hoarding all the l33t loot but this is only a rough draft. Please any comments good or bad are welcome.

This would be nice if only done like once a year.

A long time ago, in a SK far far away, there was a few days where SK was shut down, and another SK was activated. This SK had no limits at all. Yes, there were giant Rogues doing double backstabe and players killing things that could not be killed normally, this was also the time when haste took a year of your life but gave you crazy speed, this was many many years ago.

No way, this game is about roleplay, and doing such a thing would pollute what we treasure about SK.

Sure, it starts with trying it just once, BUT that's all it takes. One little try and before you know it you're prostituting yourself to Dulrik just to get ONE MORE FIX. It's a vicious cycle.

Im sure that is not completely true. There are some ridiculously dumb ideas floating around here.

What you're looking for is a pure pk mud. Something without all that irritating RP that gets in your way. Maybe something dragonballz-ish or whatever.

This is SK. Roleplay. Tactics. Or at least it's supposed to be. Maybe if those who didn't want to play SK went and found the muds that have the flavor they're looking for, SK would be a bit more fun.

In other words, horrible idea.

Nope this by far is the worst idea ever. The other ideas just suck.
