Okay, so we've gone through most of the quests in the database and tried to correct errors, adjust for the update, and make sure things ALL AROUND THE GAME are generally working good. That's not just for quests either! Most areas have been tweaked and adjusted as needed to correspond to the update. If something seems broken, don't forget to use typo, bug, or idea to report it in game.

There are a number of objects that need lores, rooms that need descriptions, and NPCs that need further describing. Its helpful to point these out, but I challenge all of you to go a step further and include two or three lines for a description in the typo command in that room. It makes it very easy to correct the bug and you can know you've had a hand in contributing to the enrichment of the game.

The same goes for items sold in shops or anywhere. If they don't behave properly, it can work better. Same goes for shops or NPCs in general. If these things are pointed out clearly, they can be fixed rather easily. Anyway, I've tried to correct as many of these reports as possible lately. Hope everyone notices improvements.

You should make it a scavenger hunt, and have the deadline be the end of the month. The winner gets a special item made. Like when Dalamar did the scavenger hunt for Teron to fix spelling errors. Algon won, and in turn got that shadow formed ring made.

I'm not sure it would be fair to the people who had made reports over the past three years that I finally addressed this month. Although I'd love the help, maybe there's some reward Dulrik would be ok with us giving for that. Maybe just... reward?

It doesn't stop those people from putting in typo logs now does it? You can't make everything always fair.

As one of those people that makes regular minor reports regarding any given little thing on ANY mud, I do it without the expectation of getting rewarded for it, and I think that most people realize that they aren't going to get anything back for it when they do.... other than some small improvement in play. I'm not averse to rewarding for minor contributions in form of very minor amounts of experience, but they should be minor, and IMO, not handed out for use of the idea command.

I remember when I wandered through the entire wilderness of Ayamao and bug logged every room that was missing a description. Tee hee.

They haven't been all addressed, but we'll get there eventually. If you get the urge when reporting, feel free to include suggestions for the description.

Oh, I know for certain there are some quests I've fixed I'd be amazed if anyone could have finished before. Some parts were completely missing from one quest for instance. So if you've been stuck on quests that didn't seem to work in the past, now's the time to see if its working again.

Quote:
help reward
[Game help] reward

Syntax: reward small <character>
reward medium <character>
reward large <character> (gods only)
reward level <character> (gods only)

Reward gives experience points to the target character. It is to be used
if that character has displayed excellent roleplaying. This command is
normally world-wide. If you do not know the character name, you can use
their adjective but only when in the same room. The command may be used
once every 24 hour period, although you must have logged on twice since
the time period has elapsed before the next reward will be allowed.

Some guidelines for determining reward magnitude:

Small: 1. Good spontaneous role-playing
2. Contribution to a role-play event.
Medium: 1. Great spontaneous role-playing
2. Consistantly good role-playing over an extended time.
Large: 1. Absolutely fantastic, spontaneous role-playing
2. Great role-playing over an extended time period
(C)ontinue - (R)efresh - (B)ack - (H)elp - (Q)uit [RETURN]:

3. Development of an event involving several characters.
Level: 1. Absolutely fantastic role-playing for an extended time
2. Development of an event which involves 10+ characters.

Rewards should not be given to the same characters too often. If they are
consistently good roleplayers, give them the higher reward once in awhile.
Every effort should be made to spread rewards around to everyone that
deserves it. Attempt to meet new characters all the time and watch them
for signs of good roleplaying. Because characters know that you have the
capability of rewarding them, they will be on good behavior. You do not
have to reward characters that you suspect are fawning on you.

Reward other paragons only infrequently. Nepotism will be punished.

Bad boy! We want items and such! >_<
