Being 'Drunk' should prolong becoming hungry, and you shouldn't be thirsty if your drunk, because you cant even drink when your drunk.

Have you ever been drunk?
I can somewhat agree to that if you're really drunk, you don't feel thirsty. Yet if that should be so realistic, it should also damage your health.

Prolong being hungry?

Only if there is also included a blinking, pink text that suddenly pops up, saying: "Oh my Lord, you suddenly feel extremely hungry - YOU MUST EAT!"

Haven't we realized yet that trying to add too much realism is NOT GOOD for the game? Actually, I should ask if *you've* realized that, because I realized it after shovels.

Shovels aren't that bad.

Killing racists, without trial or due process, who advocate violence against those different than themselves isn't that bad either. My point is that it's a slippery slope. You start making the mundane and dreary parts of reality an integral part of a fantasy game, and you start to break the fourth wall, and kill the suspension of disbelief that makes playing an interactive game like SK an enjoyable process.

I don't care that I need shovels to dig in the ground, they usually aren't that expensive. What I care about is that it's one of the first steps down a path that will make SK more of a chore than it should be to retain enough attractive enjoyment to keep and gain players.

EDIT: Edited for misplaced modifier.

You've got a point there, but I was just talking about shovels. Personally, my suspension of disbelief was rather hard-pressed back when some naked guy could dig up ten bodies in a matter of minutes with nothing but his hands, or bury them all in that same timeframe. Now at least that naked guy has to have a shovel and maybe a minute for each dead body, and he does get tired afterwards. Shovels, in my opinion, are a great example of compromise betwen realism and playability.

I'm not saying that any game should be a grindfest, but not all changes that make the game "more realistic" are so horrible, and even then Dulrik has at least tried to make things less boring rather than more grind-oriented (Leveling from 1 to expert is faster, jail time got nerfed somewhat)

Oh, and drunk code is fine.

Being drunk, should also send you random texts of what your guy might be thinking like, "That fat girl over there is kinda hawt." and "I wonder what Achernar does in his spare time."

Alot of useless let mildly funny quotes, it would probably make people drink more.

The quotes idea I could get behind. That could be extremely funny.
