I cannot at the moment remember exactly why skinning was changed to be able to fail as much as it does now. But as it is, it seems to fail something like 6 out of 7 times if you are trying to skin anything decently high level.

Now given the amount of skins you go through trying to get just one of them decently enchanted, I really think you should consider... either removing the chance to fail completely, or make it a whole lot easier to succeed at least.

If you ask me, skinning really isn't a viable way of getting armor on SK any more, and while I can appreciate that perhaps it should not be the easiest, most used way of doing it, it should not be as close to useless as it is now either.

As it is, the only thing I would ever considering using skins for, are backpacks because they're the only way to get a decently enchanted container.

tl;dr Please up the chance of success when skinning aloooootttttt.

Holy heck, we have a gameplay thread that has been up for seven hours without any opposition here, can we just ninja-change this before some ninja vet comes along and talks about how skinning is completely overpowered and we're all a bunch of noobs for not just spending the five hours it takes to get the 25 skins you at the very least would need to come out with a decent suit.

Or at least immortal commentary, thoughts. Maybe if we say Dulrik's name three times in front of our mirrors before we go to bed tonight he'll pop right up in this thread!

I thought it was only lowered for scouts who were lower levels than the things they were trying to skin. GMs actually have a hard time skinning things now too?
