Yeah. . .charm person has low casting time, is very difficult to resist, and if you're hit with it, you're screwed . . . And it can be scribed. . . Now that I'm not very active, I think this spell needs a nerf. I know this has been discussed before, but I figured I'd make the thread anyway. |

The funny thing is, last time a thread like this was brought up, charm person got -buffed.- Though I do agree. |

Any enjoyable trap has its openings to get your way with. Are there enough of these with CP? |

Are there enough of these with CP? I'm sorry, I simply do not understand this. However, charm person does need a severe wimp vs. players. It's perfect when used on NPCs and they are then used in PK, but versus players, it's just a way too easy I-win spell. Sleep was wimped, and it was much less powerful - virtually the same casting time, the same kind of save (though it seems charm person lands more often, for some reason - but that might just be me). What I'm saying is that when sleep was found to be blatantly and obviously overpowered, charm person is even more so. |

Lots of stuff is overpowered. Necromancers and undead. Magma and warlocks. Charm and sorcerors. Fist skills. Hammer skills. Crucible skills. Adamantite armor. Scripted lewt. Alshain. I think that all of these things together are able to bring a kind of balance. |

I could not help but notice a certain type of organization did not make your list. |

Where's the fun and tactical ingenuity in typing c charm <target> and winning? |

I only really consider three things from that list overpowered: necromancers and undead, sorcs and charm (only when used offensively against other players, which is a new trend with the dawn of art - and still, they aren't on par with necros). And the third thing is a single crucible spell and Alshain, with their powers combined they are eligible for the third spot on the list. The easiest thing of these three to fix is by far charm. I suggest we start there. |

Bash is overpowered and should be removed. Same thing with five attacks per round. While we're at it, give Etherealform and shrink/enlarge to necromancers and delete sorcerer entirely. How about no. |

The beauty is in the simplicity. |
