[Spells help] call lightning Syntax: cast 'call lightning' <enemy> Call lightning brings forth a hail of lightning bolts on an enemy group. While the spell can be used in any weather, it is more powerful when it can call down lightning bolts from a storm. The ideal conditions for calling lightning are when it is raining hard, warm and very windy. The spell only works outdoors. Why is it warlocks don't get this spell? They get control weather and lightning bolt, yet don't seem to get call lightning at all, and I personally feel it'd fit right in perfectly with their skill set, seeing all their AoE'ing options. Fireball, chain lightning, cone of cold, earthquake etc. I think call lightning should also be added to their spell list. What do you guys think? |

What spell would be given up to have this? I can understand adding it their set, it makes sense, however then either a spell has to be given up by them or every other class that has spells should get a new one added to compensate. |

This would be true if warlocks weren't horrible. mundufisen wrote: Thats pretty much chain lightning without range. :/
I was under the impression call lightning was more effective, under the right conditions. I'm not sure, though. |

I said yes because everyone else is going to vote no and talk about how everything is over powered. /tissue/ |

Warlocks should get some sort of truly epic spell or some sort of incredible utility power. Such as Disjunction, Mind Blank, or... Time Stop. Also, Raina, wow, you're really ragging on every other post lately. Something wrong? |

It is, but warlocks aren't the only ones lacking spells/skills that make sense to their profession. This would OP them. |

You would have to give warlocks charm person or animate dead to make them OP. |

The more sensible solution, I think, is to look at spells that already exist in the game that no PC has, and consider whether warlocks could be more well-rounded from them. Well, no PC with the exception of ONE I've heard some real drama over, anyway... |

Well, no PC with the exception of ONE I've heard some real drama over, anyway... Get magma sprayed and then you wouldn't think warlocks need new spells. |
