Here's a no-brainer which has consistently refused to be implimented for the last decade: Make it so that you can't be reported for any (potential) crime you commit on someone who is banished in that country. Makes perfect sense, both mechanically and RP-wise, and I imagine it would be easy to code. Since we've gotten all our thoughts on the law(l) code out on my previous thread, I'm sure we can stay on topic for this one. |

So you'd be allowed to kill someone who was banished, even if you aren't a person of the law, and the country you're in doesn't execute people? |

Then make it a stun-only thing and still have murder punishable. |

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, what about for the people that intentionally escape banishment? So we should just extend it to all outlaws... Dumb idea, it seems to be in response to upsetting in-game situations Why not give everyone a squirt gun and a plastic sheriffs badge and allow for citizens arrest and get rid of tribunals? |

Sounds very similar to the "deputy" idea that came up not too long ago. I'm not entirely sure this would be conducive to an ideal environment of Kingdom patrons obeying the law during their stay. It's the duty of the tribunal to fight their wars. |

There was an idea a while back where a tribunal leader could set a bounty on banished PCs. Other PCs could kill them, turn in a body part somewhere, and collect a reward. If something like the OP's suggestion were to be implemented, it would be cool in combination with this idea. |
Dumb idea, it seems to be in response to upsetting in-game situations
Actually, this is in response to having to spam pardon anyone that kills enemies of war that run through my city and spam kill my guards, when I'm not online. This is also in response to being outlawed for killing people in Exile at the immediate request and with the assistance of the trib leader there, and having the law NPC in my party attack me, causing the rest of my party to attack me, causing me to die in a bloody mess, right in front of the person that would pardon me, and did pardon me a second too late. As for the notion of allowing people to die in a country that doesn't give the death penalty. There is only one country that does that, and I happen to lead it atm, so I'll just explain that to you. If I want a criminal to not die, I don't banish them. I let them serve their time. I can't think of the last time I banished someone who I wouldn't kill on sight if I found them in Zhenshi. This is pretty much how my predecessor did it, and more or less how it's always been done, here, and everywhere. I'm a little tired of certain someone's giving tribunals a job and not trusting them to do it (see my last thread) and I would greatly appreciate it if the imms would spare me having to be constantly online to give law immunity to people who attack banished criminals, or spare me having to choose to keep law NPCs out of my party to prevent them from trying to arrest someone in that party. |

Jorinthia is right on many fronts. Now that there is 'guilt by association', we could also have 'exemption by association' implemented. People who are in the same group of the Tribunal members, who are obviously assisting, should not be outlawed. Currently players just end up having a lot of, "Hey guy, can you pardon me, and my friend A, B, C and D?" After the guards have attacked, and sometimes killed. It creates such sticky, confusing, and nonsense moments. |

When my character took a up tribunal leadership and I wrote my first alias after becoming one (an F-key macro to pardon whoever I set in a local variable -- F5, by the way) I suggested a tribunal deputize command in private to certain people. It was shot out of the sky. Having outlaws removed from the justice system's protection sounds more like the kind of tribunals our implementer has expressed interest in supporting. |
