Hey, Imms. If you want to SLAY people. Maybe you shouldn't run around as common Wasteland NPCs that get raped every couple of days. Kind of stupid.

sayto angel What business do you have in Ch'zzrym, creature?
You ask to an angel of Truth 'What business do you have in Ch'zzrym, creature?'

[HP:100%] [ME: 83%] [PE:100%]

An angel of Truth slays you in cold blood!
A thick-maned lion stops following you.
You release all your spells.
You feel less aware of your surroundings.
You no longer see invisible objects.
Your images fade away.
You feel less righteous.

Slayed by a NPC that I can gank with just a healer for my group. Awesome job Imm!

The reason this is annoying is because I see no reason to treat some garden variety NPC "special" because there's an Imm playing it. If Meissa had showed up or something, I wouldn't have been like "sayto Meissa WTF are you doing here?"

(Algorab is the exception. Totally didn't realize he was an Imm.)

There's one line in there that puts that whooooole thing in a completely different context, friend.

After being slain by a few orphans, I've adopted the theory that if something is out of place, it is probably special.

Yeah, seriously you imms need to stop trying to muscle in with NPCs that get dominated and charmed and [REDACTED] every day just because you can use the restore ability on them.

People are trying to RP and we're getting assailed with all this limp-wristed garbage.

So in other words you just want imms to dress up in fancy new NPC clothes.

If this imm had whipped up "A marauding Eladrin" or something, there would have been no complaints?

Actually, I can understand the idea behind that. If we are supposed to be playing "in character" while I might know ooc that the angel NPC doesn't leave its area and that it's being controlled by an imm, that knowledge is not supposed to transfer to my character. So I am confronted with something that I've slain before, perhaps many times, and it starts to threaten me, what would cause me to suddenly act with more respect?

So from an IC perspective, yes. It would be better if the imm took five minutes and made up a "slobbering nigthogyan predator" rather than using something that has been slain by many characters, over and over again.

I agree with Syn on this one. If you plan to use the slay command on people who insult you, you shouldn't be inhabiting NPCs that don't have the slay command: Like orphans, angels of truth, or etc. I know I've never seen that NPC use the slay command when I've killed it in the wastelands.

Unless of course, you're RPing that you're a god masquerading as an orphan/angel of truth/whatever. But I highly doubt that this is the case, given that the NPC in question is an angel of truth.

You want us to play IC? Well, kissing the boots of every NPC that seems to acting in a way contrary to the pre-set AI for that NPC is completely OOC.

I don't think it's by any means a rule that you're going to be slain if you RP a little aggressively with an imm-controlled NPC.

Did this event really deserve a QQ thread? An Imm controlled a NPC and slayed you for whatever reason you gave them. Deal with it and move on. I've seen far worse.
