It's a skill any hellion knows, and most desire to master quickly. But there is a problem I've seen and would like changed.

[Skills help] cleave

Syntax: cleave <victim>

Cleave is one of the hellions' strongest attacks. As an initial attack,
it can offer a decisive advantage in battle, as it allows for a body part
to be severed in a single blow. Much to some people's amazement, this does
occasionally mean that someone's head will roll.

Cleave weapons: scimitar, machete, longsword, broadsword, katana,
cutlass, bastard sword, greatsword, claymore, flamberge, no-dachi,
pigsticker, falchion, khopesh, landsknecht, khukri, battle axe,
double-bladed axe, great axe, halberd, bill, glaive, and naginata.

Pigstickers are used to backstab and by rogues all over, mostly for one reason, they are pointy and hurt. A pic of a "pig sticker". Now you can claim that they are long enough on occasion to be a cleaving weapon, but take into consideration that the term stick means to jab, and that pig sticker is a known alias for bayonet, which of course is not used in a slashing motion.

Now I do propose an addition for cleave. Pole-axe. I don't know why this was left out. Again pictoral proof.

I mostly want to see the add because there is a fair usage for pole-axes in game and it makes sense as the weapon closely resembles bills, halberts, and glaives.

A well thought out post with evidence to back up the claims?...I thought the day would never come.

I completely agree with your assessment, but that second picture is more of a halberd. I'm not sure why halberd and poleaxes were really separated other than a pole axe wouldn't necessarily have the spear tip with it and can possibly have a double blade. It's certainly not a huge deal, but I thought I would share.

Examples of other pole axes:

Wikipedia described the poleaxe in several ways. One of which was with a full dagger extending the reach of the axe blade. My guess is to use it like a pike. I think honestly the difference is there but negligible because there were so many types forged over the years that designs may have crossed.

None of those pictures look as cool as I imagine the weapons in the game look.

Wait, you can actually cleave with pigstickers? Is that a joke? And not poleaxes?

Can't really argue with this post

It does seem to be fairly common-sensical. Change made and active.

I am confused as to why important PK-related changes are made without thinking about the consequences of these changes.

As much as realism might be important in certain ways, keep in mind that pole-axes are now the highest damage ranged cleaving subtype in the game due to your recent change.

You just increased the opening damage of a class significantly - maybe that was your intention, but it is certainly something to consider before making changes, despite them being 'common-sensical'. Do hellions need a boost in cleave damage?
