Hi there,

Can we possibly get the option on these boards to completely block or minimize (i.e. the post exists, but unseen) an user's/users' posts?

Thank you for your consideration.

How hard is it not to read someone's posts?

Also, he goes by Sir Viltrax now.

I'm pretty sure you can just use greasemonkey, min, and do it yourself. This is phpbb, after all, it isn't like this is some custom board.

Greasemonkey should work for it. Greasemonkey is your friend.

EDIT: Or just scroll past the posts you don't want to read.

Someone already had a Greasemonkey script (a Firefox browser add-on) that did this.

I won't rule out the request, but if the Greasemonkey method solves the problem let me know.

Believe it or not, I can't think of a player I'd like to ignore on the forums.

Well, I still think this should be implemented. I feel like if someone is feeling harassed by a certain person for whatever reason, they shouldn't have to see their posts.

Vilitrax, I don't know how many complaints you get about "so and so is harassing me on the forums" or whatever, but they'd completely stop... it'd only make your life easier, really.

Don't need that. Internet needs thicker skin. After all those years, Minnette, one would think... bah...

The word 'harassing' in your reply evokes a response along the lines of "I'd want to know if this is happening so I can boot the offender out of the forums altogether".

However I took the original poster as describing something more along the lines of "person XYZ isn't annoying me per se, I just find their posts annoying and it's easiest for everyone if I just ignore them on my local PC".
