Hello, I noticed that Faerylen got a full level curse for trigging butcher/skin. If the imms aren't willing to explain that in detail that's fine, they don't answer to me and that's not anything I need to be a part of. It's between Syn and and the imms. I do have a gameplay question though, I'll make it short and sweet. If I am training with a scout and I have "is dead!!" triggered to make character butcher or skin a corpse is this an offense? I mean I am ATK. I am doing nothing but training. Just wandering around morea with a scout killing stuff and after each one dies, instead of me typing butcher corpse or skin corpse I have my client do it when "is dead!!" comes up is that cheating and why? |

I had this trigger set up while leveling, to master skinning, then I switched it to butcher. Sorry, that extra one thousand key strokes to enter even a 1-key alias for 500 kills would have been pretty annoying. I don't mind the curse, but Achernar honestly could've found a better reason to give me one. Also, jeez, Orac, it's obviously cheating, because you're mastering skin/butcher more easily. Just like AFKing jail time is cheating, when other players actually sit and stare at their screen in mindless boredom! WHO ARE YOU TO AVOID the MINDLESS BOREDOM AND EXTRA POINTLESS KEY STROKES!? NOBODY!!!! |

1: Zero Tolerance Policy is Zero Tolerance. HTFU. 2: Zero Tolerance doesn't mean they are obligated to be omniscient. 3: Just put your butcher/skin commands as an alias inserted in your combat opener. You can even add some programming for your client to be smart about skinning only when it knows you've made a kill. 4: Seriously, noobs, HTFU already, RTFM, build you a bridge, and get over it. In conclusion, anyone who hasn't already typed "alias k put all.coin backpack;kill &*" needs to line up for a spanking. |

Yes, and zero tolerance policies are full of failure. That's why there was a girl recently suspended from her school for touching a prescription drug and then refusing to buy or receive them. She was suspended for the mere act of touching something. Why do you have to be such a sycophant? |

NOBODY!!!! Wow. Alright, well I won't forget this. I am guilty as sin here. I've done the same with every scout I ever had. I had no idea it was cheating. I mean it doesn't keep me from voiding, because I have to kill something manually to set off the trigger, it doesn't get me exp like say trigging spells or something. I really and truly thought if I was atk and not getting any real benifit from the trigger it was legit. I will have to be careful from now on. |

If you use Mushclient, there's a handy option for triggers: sent to command. The client will just send the desired text straight to your command box, and all you have to do is hit enter. If you rig it to play a little "boop" sound at the same time, you can pretty much automate your training/whatever by just pressing enter whenever it boops. |

The price of zero tolerance is zero tolerance. The only really stupid zero tolerance environment is one where people are not made aware of the situation. Even the ancient Nicomachean Ethics spells the whole zero tolerance thing out so that even a moron can understand the need to sometimes make people responsible for things outside their direct realm of influence and answer for things that skirt the line of acceptability. Sycophant? Please. Someone got punished for making a mistake? Cry more, plebeian. You're the last person I ever expected to have such a soft spine. |

After using gMud for like 5 years, I highly recommend MUSHclient to pretty much everybody. I love you Min. |

If you intend to use triggers:
2. Do not brag about the use of these triggers in comments attached to logs of triggers. This isn't an endorsement of the use of triggers. |

A humble 'thank you' for clarifying the matter, Achernar. |
