Here's a thread to deal with issues that involve the game that turon and others brought up. I didn't want to derail the Turon afterlife thread so I figured I'd put comments here.

I'm not ready to make a Turon afterlife that doesn't involve gloating and gripes about bad sportsmanship so I'm going to make one later.

When did Dulrik disappear? Didn't he just change outer guardian strength in cabals, wimp bounty NPCs, wimp cabal hq guards, and add dispel to guardians? The only thing he's stopped doing is making updates posts for people to pick apart and crap on him over.

Offline warfare sucks. The only reason I'm still in Cabals instead if tribunals is this, you can put 50 obsidian into a bank account with relative ease. Especially with help. 250 is alot harder, especially considering you can loose 70-100 in a night.

I'm not convinced that Hedgehog is as unbeatable as Edoras says, but I've never used it so I can't say. SK does have a history of builder one upsmanship though. Hence the massive wipe of adamantite and mithril a few years back. I am also no convinced that Sith 'a' niel has an aberrant timer in that area. But it could be a bug relating to bonanza. I strongly doubt it though.

SK not being in the top 20 is very new. for the last nine years, maybe 10 that I have been here it's always been a top 20 mud, don't know what to say on that.

When was the last time anyone heard from Dulrik? Near as I can tell his last forums post was december 31st 2009. That's the last public post I can find. Can anyone find any newer ones? I'm wondering if maybe he just quit the mud. I mean we all do it. Imms, players, everyone. Yopparai was a coder too, he's gone.

Now I'm really starting to wonder if maybe that was his new years resolution or something. There hasn't been an offical update since 2008.

I talked with him in person this past weekend (mise); he's not gone, he's just been really busy with stuff in real life.

We spoke for a few minutes about the health of the game, and he's agreed that yes, he should do something (if I am misremembering the conversation he can definitely feel free to correct me) and is thinking of things to do in-game.

I'm glad to hear that. I don't know if i would keep playing if Dulrik quit running the mud. I don't know if he would hand it off to someone else either. I think he's done a good job. No matter how much crap he has to wade through on the forums and what he has to hear about his immstaff and his changes, which is mostly negative, I think he's done good here.

Nothing but love for the big D. Way way way back I actually exchanged PMs with him and he was nice to little 'ol nobody like me. I'm glad he hasn't foresaken us.

I wonder... how many people attempted to log in a Dulrik after I posted that? But on a serious note - Achernar has said that he is in weekly contact with Dulrik on another thread. While the cat is away, the mice will play.
