Language code is [REDACTED], offers no flavor to the game and simply limits crap. Get rid of it. Have one universal language. Let people do emotes along the lines of 'emote waves a hand towards the dark-haired woman as she enters the taproom and exclaims, "Hey, Jane! How are you today?" with a small smile.' I mean, what exactly does the language code do... Suck away /levels/ worth of XP, unless you're smart and save that useless crap until Mentor/Master to learn. And stop NEWBIES from talking to each other. God, yeah, awesome and really good for the game. I was going to suggest emits, but SK's playerbase is riddled with too many jackasses for that. |

It's amazing that you quit the game and then make this post three weeks later with such passion. It's impressive that something could get you riled up like this when you are completely and entirely removed from it and haven't dealt with it in three weeks. ![]() What did you roll? |

A character on another game. ![]() I rolled a darkie bard in the Empire. Killed a couple NPCs and deleted. Re-rolled as a darkie merc in the Empire. Got to level 5 and deleted. This was a couple weeks ago. |

And what's an emit? |

Basically an emote that doesn't start with your name. You could do something like, Waving towards the new arrival, Baldric says, "Hey, how're you doing?" Really don't think that'd work very well on a MUD like SK though. Since Baldric could technically do things like, Waving towards the new arrival, Edoras stabs them in the face. |

Yeah, emits would basically consist of people faking your death a lot. Roll a darkie with meeeeeee it'll be fun! |

Get rid of it. Have one universal language. I don't agree at all. You should take a longer break from SK if you think languages don't add to the atmosphere of the game. You have become a pk machine with no imagination. The different languages add to the game alot. It gives you the feel of exotic lands. Distant ports. All that stuff. Each kingdom is unique with it's own history, language and culture. Taking away languages would be a terrible terrible mistake to those of us who still have visions of what our character might see here and there. I strongly disagree with this idea. |

Wow I would abuse the hell out of that emit command lol. This is of course coming from the guy who frequently used "action sleeping here" while running/sneaking around. |

The languages add an RP flavor to the mud. They don't really cause a lot of problems, unless you're stupid enough to learn them at a low level. |
