Currently if a target is affected by dirt kicking, you can not cast blindness because "They are already blind". While I understand the mechanics of this fact, on a logical level it makes no sense. |

You should be able to, however, here's a chance to say again that blindness is a ridiculously long lasting effect. |

Sure, let it happen. But let cure blindness work against dirt kicking, too. |

But then you will accidentally dirt kick people who are already blinded, wasting entire rounds of combat! I am not skilled enough to avoid this mistake, so the change should not be implemented. |

I don't think it would be too much of a leap of faith for your character to realise when a character is blinded or whatever, either with dirt kicking or blindness. I'm not sure this is too much of an issue to be worth fighting for. Both dirt kicking and blindness offer the same penalty. There is the negative to hit and the inability to see in rooms. The only difference is the extended duration of the blindness spell. Personally I feel both abilities are completely broken and do not merit a buff one way or another. I call [REDACTED] on your logic too. There's no such thing as magic, you cannot apply logic to something like that. It just doesn't work, that's a good enough explanation for me. |
