Why is it that a tamed pet is much easier to be beaten by an untamed pet? Game mechanic? I have tested this over and over with herbs on my pets solo against the same pet just untamed. It always losses. |

Once a NPC gets controlled, be it tamed or charmed, its hps get rescaled a bit. I believe this was made to avoid pc's who can get pets to sweep the pvp field. However, since tribunal NPCs do not get 'charmed' when ordered they retain their full potential. |

Is that still true? I know it was years ago when NPCs had like 5x Hp vs pcs, but now I think the Hp is pretty much on par. I thought the reason charmed/tamed NPCs lose effectiveness was just due to their loss of special powers. But then I don't know what special powers a pet would have to get nerfed. |

I don't think it's true anymore. You suck, maybe? |

Maybe you could post a few logs of this happening, so we could get a better idea of what's going on? If possible, eat a detect magic pill beforehand so we can see if the untamed pet starts with sanctuary. |

As soon as NPCs receive the charm-flag, their initial HPs will drop. The HP penalty isn't as high as it once was, but it is definitely still noticeable. That said, most high-level, controllable NPCs have slightly higher HP pools than PCs do. |
