If BoG did not rape deep-elves, then it wouldn't be an innate weakness.

The only reason a BoG sucks more for a deep-elf then a FoD an elf, because the FoD will not trap the elf in combat with its attacker.

Does BOG even damage anything that isn't dark aured? I thought it was a dark specific spell.

Deep-elves, dark-aura'd priests, hellions and necromancers, as far as PCs are concerned.

I got struck by one, maybe two nimbus clouds when I played my hellion, but it didn't even matter because I killed the paladin shortly after.

I never got hit with the nimbus on my deep-elf necromancer, and the damage I took was pretty laughable, considering it is supposed to be a deep-elf killer. Not to mention that mirror image is a pretty tough defense against getting hit by it. Zapping etherealform also completely negates it, as does the polymorph spell.

Most of the whining I see done about bolt of glory is from people who have characters with low dexterity and don't bother to stack reflex enchants so their reflex save is [REDACTED]. Then they complain when a spell that is designed to rape their character does so when they're failing 90% of their reflex saves.

Alright...sorry for the length but this is the most recent battle I have been involved in with Thyki where she has been BoG'd by Ariya. I have bolded the Bolts as well as her HP after each one. The one heal I cast on myself and the circle stab from Stratis. As for enchantments, Thyki has 19 dex modded and 9 reflex points or whatever they are. This isn't exactly earthshattering enchanting here and yet I fairly easily survived five as well as a magma and a circle stab while taunted with only one healing.

I don't usually get involved in PVP, the times I have recently have been mostly happenstance and I count myself damn lucky, not skilled, that I have managed to survive. But this is about BoG and deep elves, so I wanted to show my crappy knowledge of PK and my poorly enchanted kit and how I held up against a GM paladin BoG. It is a good spell against deep elves, but it is not OP in my opinion. My experiences being Bog'd by Ariya is the only example I have, but it seems fairly compelling to me.

All of you who know what all is going on mechanics and PK wise use this example however. But I think the prayer and its effect on deep elves is fine, more than fine actually.
