Shamans to lose raise dead, and learn a Master level spell that returns a person to life with no exp penalty as long as they have an in tact corpse. They should be a more relevant solution to gaining life than, say, a warlock, or a Journeyman level priest.

On an unrelated note, Warlocks shouldn't get raise dead- that's spirit magic, not elemental magic- and Paladins need to get raise dead as a Master level spell.

This all would make the quality of who can and cannot give you life much more rationally connected to their connection to spiritual and physical magic, instead of making an elemental magic user the same life-restoring quality as a spirit magic user.

Code:
[Spells help] Breath of Life

Syntax: cast 'breath of life'

Breath of life is the warlock version of the raise dead spell.  The
warlock must have your corpse in order to breathe life into your body.
There is also a small experience point penalty to the deceased, which
may cause you to lose a level shortly after being raised.

This spell causes spirit disorientation.  It is against the rules to use
this spell on a dead character without first obtaining their permission.

Warlock's spell of breath of life is perfect for their class. Speak with some Yed followers ICly, and they'll explain it in more detail. I won't say anything cause I don't know the boundry of this being IC info?

I want to see a warlock rp doing CPR and then shocking them back to life.

I did it with my lock years ago. People do it, rarely unfortunately. I had an entire button setup with my rp with it

One problem is that there are not many warlocks, I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I think that the new 'insta boot from the River' feature that was going on a while back has greatly reduced the need for the 'raise dead' style of spell. Its a good thing for the dead folks and not such a good thing for people with the spells.

Oh yeah... that was very convenient! I wonder why it stopped :(

It only happens after periods of high activity.

Yeah. :P

I'd love to have a list of known times it was active, though. PM me if you recall specific days and hours.

Anyway, the only warlocks I've seen of late have been the ones who have access to resurrection anyway. I don't know many people who haven't just been willing to wait for one of their friends' priests to log on anyway.
