I think this would be perfect to help the game recover from the low numbers! Give us a month of double exp! PLEASE! Yes or No votes must be supported by a valid reason. |

I said no because anyone could gm a char in that amount of time in less than 40 hours. And that wouldn't exactly be fair with me. |

It's also not going to fix the playercount issues. At most, you're going to see new characters being rolled by the same players and just leveled up fast. |

Now, a month long Bonanza to new players alone... would be an incentive. But, you'd have to somehow make certain that it's new players. |

Vote: Yes My reason is simple, if you give people a chance to come to the game, not feel the stress it is to level, and rp with some people for some neat unique items and just enjoy the game with a high population, the more likely it is that people will flock back to SK, get addicited and continue to play. |

Hmm. Or, we could just be more conscientious players that go out of our way to interact with new characters. I know lots of people go out of their way to share the game with new characters, and are very patient with new players. Any pressure to level is artificial, I have a veteran character who is tons of fun. You do realize that the "unique items" are for events, right? We don't have the staff on hand to churn out 30 days of events and new items. Plus, if everyone got one, they'd sort of be less special, wouldn't they? If we have a month-long bonanza, what happens to the new players that -do- come, when you slip the bonus xp tablecloth out from under them? And when playcounts again drop because the vets who have been besting the contests and winning all the unique items in the first place lose interest again, what happens to that incentive? |

We don't need longer bonanzas we just need the regular length ones more often so that people who might be curious can try it out but not become reliant upon the bonanza exp. |

People don't come to a game like SK because the leveling is easy. They come to it because it's fun, which is only slightly related to the duration of time that leveling takes, and is in more of the players' hands than we may realize. |

Vote: YES Leveling takes ridiculously long in this game, and seems contradictory to the RP environment. Nothing says RP like whacking away at literally thousands and thousands of scripted mobiles while trying not to fall asleep....uhhhh.... Oh there are paragons and imm rewards, don't get me wrong. If you happen to be in the cool clique of limited players that always ends up being PAR on a semi-permanent basis, sure. The one time an imm showed any sign of snooping me, I did get 1/3 of the way from level 5 to 6. Amazing. The fact that we have a thread in these forums called "What do you do while grinding?" kind of says it all to me. Switch paragons more often, give them more reward power, double xp permanently, more snooping powers (heck let paragons have an imm login so they can snoop, or whatever). |
