The commandant's quarters
  This is a small, but efficient-looking office.  The walls are of
rough stone, built into the outer walls of the fortification.  There
is a large wooden desk in the center of the floor, and behind that
is a map showing Kytar and Menegroth to the southeast.  Other than a
chair behind the desk, there are no other furnishings.  Apparently
the commander expects his guests to stand.

here, fed by the aquaduct, which the legionnaires use it to water their
horses.  To the south are the barracks, and the stockade is to the west.
Looking north, you see a number of smaller buildings built along the main
wall.  The gates to the camp are to the east.   
   It's cloudy, well past freezing, and very windy.

     A large golden fountain stands here.
     The Imperial message board has been mounted here.
A midnight guard is here inspecting the crowd for criminals.
A legionnaire drill instructor is here, training recruits.
