Please dulrik, can we have this changed to where it only works on NPC's and not PC's. It's such a dumb spell, an "Iwin" spell, you could have 50 willpower and it can still land on the first try and then you're completely screwed.

It makes pk against a sorc pointless, they're already the strongest class in the game they dont need this as well.

Make it only work against NPC's and give back the ability to take them over flying area's again. It would make the spell and the class much more balanced.

Spell is fine as it is, only tweak it needs is perhaps its save.

The spell is definitely not okay how it is. How is something you can cast at someone, then completely control them without them being able to eat, drink, quaff, tell, or do any actions at all "okay"? If it lands, which 3/4 of the time it does, they're screwed. Fix the saves and there is still a chance it will land, and still a chance that the character is screwed over when it does. It's not the saves, its just the spell in general when used against a pc. It's ridiculously OP'd, there shouldnt be a spell you can cast against someone that gives you automatic victory in 1 cast.

That's why the save against the spell needs look at, not changing how it works.

You are obviously QQing over the forums cause you just got owned and your enemy used this spell against you. Like Baldric has mentioned several times the save is what needs looked into. Not changing what you can and can't charm.

I actually didnt have it used against me any time recently. I just think it's a crappy spell and always has been a crappy spell.

I can roll a sorceror right now, max art, and show you how horrible the spell is if you wish.

Do I sense a Golaret 2.0?

I also do find it odd that you happened to create this thread after an ally of yours got charm-ganked.

I still maintain my position that charm person is not even close to the best spell for a sorcerer to cast in PvP, though I would actually also prefer that it not be able to affect PCs. Sorcs have plenty of tools already without a noob tube on top of it. In fact, now that charm got nerfed due to the whole not ordering stances thing, charm is actually higher on the list of "spells I can cast that are likely to result in me winning."
