This is not a OMG WARLOCKS ARE WEAK thread, but I am just wondering, are warlock elementals still mercenaries? I know that for years it has been suggested they be changed to barbarians to no avail, but has Dulrik responded directly as to why this tweak has not come about? I mean, I doubt it would be game-breaking by any means, the elemental gains more attacks and damage that would give the warlock an option other than ankle biting if the dude has resist elements, plus it would give the elemental, through berserk/fury, at least some protection against the dispel magiclawl tactic without making them immune to it. Two birds with one stone. Now, are they still mercenaries or did I just make an outdated thread? |

That said, the way it is now, dispelling an elemental is ridiculous. Barb elementals for the win! Though still not sure how much it would help matters. |

help elemental tiger swarm [Spells help] elemental tiger swarm Syntax: cast 'elemental tiger swarm' <victim> Syntax: cast 'elemental tiger swarm' <direction> <victim> Upon the completion of the spell, the warlock opens a portal to the elemental tiger plane, the most dangerous of the planes. The portal begins calling forth the might of the elemental tigers that come to protect the warlock and maul his hapless victims. But the spell's power does not end here; if an elemental tiger happens to die, it is immediately replaced by another and if the victim flees it tracks him down while for every minute that the victim survives, another tiger is summoned and joins the hunt.
