Massive weapons really need to be tweaked. The "massive" swords are completely broken now. None of the sword subtypes should be massive, since most of them were perfectly viable weapons before the tweak. Things like polearms/axes did need the buff though. And still need more of a buff, IMO. Noone except a dwarf is ever going to use an axe, and the only polearms getting used are pikes (which aren't massive, I don't think, and were perfectly fine before) and halberds, mostly just for cleave.

Also, the new mood aggressive is kind of ridiculous on things like a griffon barbarian, which can now do upwards of 45% damage to an adamantite clad merc in one round now. While naked.

Griffons suck, and need help, but not help that lets them run around with absolutely no prep.

The to-hit modifier for aggressive really needs to be tweaked, as does the massive weapon blocking thing.

Edit : Mood neutral also now seems pretty useless if you aren't a caster. You should be aggro or defensive at all times.

Yeah, I was in addy (though not buffed at the time) and Kiromi dropped me from 100-55% in 1 round without a weapon. (GM giant mercenary with max con and nearly max hp)

Yes. This really hurts my character who is almost never in melee combat.

And how doesn't it hurt your character who is reliant on the things in front of you not to die? FFS, you used to have a tid bit of rationality, I guess you lost that.

Well, your giant was probably aggressive too, and on a unbuffed aggressive giant that sounds about right. Not to mention, if your EQ didn't have protection enchantments on the slots she was hitting you may as well have been wearing tanso.

Kiromi is GM as well, and since griffon natural attacks scale with level, with a GS/fury boost, that could be about right depending on where she was hitting you.

EDIT: I also agree that griffons need help. Like, for example, builder support for, you know, any really useful talon-gripped subtypes of worthwhile materials.

I was wearing cold flames along with other things. And buffed or unbuffed, no GM melee character with max con and nearly max hp should get dropped in 2 rounds in melee from 1 character.

And I play a massive weapon merc. It honestly does need a tweak, i've 2-3 rounded characters. GM melee characters. :/
