What do you think?
Increase to 1 obsidian coin. 50%  50%  [ 10 ]
Increase to 3-5 platinum coins. 40%  40%  [ 8 ]
1 platinum coin is fine. 10%  10%  [ 2 ]

A trust fund has been established in your name.

When this feature was implemented, one platinum coin was generous. Now with the economy changes in place, one platinum coin is just a little less than desired.

Can we increase this to say, five platinum coins? At least three wouldn't be unreasonable.

No, I'm kidding. Two platinum is a totally worthless amount of money for buying armor, weapons, and maybe learning a few initial level spells or skills. Especially if you start in a terrible town where the NPCs give crap money or you can't kill many at once to earn enough coin.

I think 5 platinum - 1 obsidian seems reasonable.

Newbies aren't automatically a member of the 1%. However, I could see scaling this amount based on the state of the economy of your starting kingdom.

I think this is a bad idea. True noobs will start in a kingdom thinking, hey this sounds cool. A few of us will actually start where it makes sense for our characters background. Then you will have a group that will start in the kingdom with the best economics to score a few extra coins and then they'll move to the kingdom they would have actually started in.

Also, the "trust fund" idea was stupid to begin with. My uxmaln street urchin should not have a trust fund. Who gave it to her? I still don't know.

Ensuring that newbies get paid is an excellent idea. This idea is better accomplished by buffing the amount of coin they get through training NPCs and training quests.

Please ignore these pinko leftie communist-sympathizing sexual deviant hippies. It isn't the administration's job to decide who deserves to have money and give it to them. Help to cultivate an environment wherein the noobies can *earn* their own economic freedom through their own labor.
