Should tailors be able to make bardings? Personally, I think they should. There are very few decent bardings, especially for light armor centaurs, and it doesn't make sense that a tailor would be unable to make one, nor do I think its unbalanced or overpowered. Thoughts? (for anyone that doesn't know what I'm talking about, centaurs can wear a barding on their legs) |

Quote: [Objects help] tailor Syntax: tailor <skin> <clothing_type> Along with resizing armor and repairing clothing, a tailor is also highly proficient in the sewing of new clothes and armor out of the skins of various creatures. When attempting to tailor a skin, you must have the skin which you are planning on having tailored in your inventory, as well as specifying it. You must also decide which type of armor or clothing you wish your skins to be converted into. Tailors know how to make boots, leggings, belts, vests, bracers, gloves, backpacks, and coifs for the head. Because of the hard work involved in working these skins, the tailor will charge depending on how strong the skin is as well as how large it is. And yes this is updated |

I seem to remember something about this, but Dulrik coming out against it as that piece of EQ is meant to be a rarity? |

I agree it should be available. I don't see who it hurts or unbalances if it can be tailored. D seems to disagree with this thought, and sometimes you've just got to accept that what he wants goes. Maybe enough people voting here will change his mind though....maybe. |

Remember when you could not make coifs? |

Was thinking about this on the way to work this morning. Perhaps would allow them to be made only by centaur tailors. That might force you to have to travel to a centaur village, keeping them somewhat uncommon and have that scarcity still make a bit of sense. But unfortunately if I did that, within a year probably 80% of the tailors in the game would have been swapped out with centaur tailors. ![]() |

Gotta make sure you post your copyright though, else someone else may steal the idea and bring it into another kingdom.... Edit: I also could see that centaur village over in the Empire being able to make them, do they even have a tailor? Shinlaken or something of that sort? |
