It would be really wonderful if comparing containers allowed you to see which could hold more.

Or better yet, having the identify spell tell you how much a container can hold.

I like this idea too. I'd rather it not be just under identify, since that would mean you'd have to find someone to do it for you if you didn't have access to the spell, but its certainly better than nothing. If any old schmuck can stare at a couple of weapons for a split second and instantly be able to guage the compartive speeds, accuracies and damages of them, that same schmuck could probably put his head in a couple of bags and say "Hey this one's bigger!"

There should be a bit of lag for comparing bags to give people around the schmuck a chance to close the bag with his head inside, suffocating him.

It would be even more awesome if the dehoarding code targetted containers on people who are inactive. Like so I could see something like the robes of infinite wisdom again instead of some jerk hoarding them for 6 months before getting deleted.

Agreed. It is kinda sad (although nice sometimes) that dehoarding affects everything but containers.

To go with the subject and responses; if the identify spell gave you an exact amount of storage for an item, and 'compare' a more general estimate (perhaps indeterminable on magical storage containers), that would be nice!

In the words of my friend "old greg". Make an assessment! Pull all your junk out of your current container, try and place it in the new container. If the container fits, wear it.
