I suppose that'd be this one. I also would hope that it isn't something which the majority of the playerbase needs to worry about. |

Well, the majority of the playerbase could be worried about the fact that the curse equivalent of a slap on the wrist is now a full level curse... I mean wtf? I mean it's not like SK wasn't already a horribly bad game, and now this... |

Maybe my perception is skewed because I haven't ever been cursed even though I first started playing SK seven years ago or so, but I didn't think that curses got handed out that often. Am I wrong in this? |

I'm in a somewhat similar position myself, but having played for quite a few years now, I almost shudder at the thought of how difficult it would be for some players to play the game after this change, considering all they have to do is fart in the wrong direction and some imm freaks out and starts dishing out the punishments. |

I really don't think that curses are handed out that often. In fact, judging by Dulrik's post, they're handed out so rarely, and their actual effect was so little, that they were basically able to be ignored by the veterans who were most likely to break them, so he made them more difficult to ignore. Considering that I don't break the rules, don't have really stupid RP (Like being an elf or paladin that marries deep-elves), and don't behave badly like going OOC and cursing people out all the time, I don't see a problem with this change, and if it discourages cheating, then I am glad it happened. I would imagine that the vast majority of the playerbase would feel the same way. I guess I just don't see who in particular you are referring to, both IMMs and/or players. I mean crap, even Vaalim, who from all I could tell the IMMs completely hated, didn't eat any curses despite getting several "Talking to's." Even Holikow didn't eat a curse. |
