Here are a few ideas for manifest:

1. Untie the command to greet, and let someone have a toggleable "auto manifest" state, that either allows or disallows spirits to manifest to them, regardless of whether they've been greeted.

2. Allow 'manifest terje', 'manifest halgeir' and manifestations to other portal stones.

3. Allow a manifested ghost to recall.

4. Give seance to priests.

These would do all do better to keep ghosts out when they are wanted out, and in when they are wanted in. This would promote RP.

help spirit bind wrote:
Upon age death, the spirit of a Pyrathian mortal may choose one place that his spirit may return to without the aid of a living contact. Spirits may choose to bind themselves to temples, homes, inns, or any other favorite location that they enjoyed during life. While manifesting to his chosen destination is possible, leaving the room will send the spirit back to the River with depleted mental energies. The spirit must be present in the location he wishes to bind himself to in order to effect the bond, and once a place is chosen it can not be changed.

syntax:

bind spirit
manifest bound

Also, this, please. (Yes, interjecting it yet again)
