Just want to know if there is such a place, and where this place would be.

Other than the main section of the website? I think your only option is to make a bard and use the lore skill.

At one point the forums had a sticky about events that had taken place, but not sure when that was last updated.

I am more interested in reading the story about how the undead halfling village came to be, how the orcish hive was made, do the orcs and goblins have Heroes?

I want to read stories that explain why the world is as it is now. Like the story in the website about how Griffons came to be, or the stories of how gods came into existence (from the help files). I know it is a lot to ask for but i am such a geek for these kind of stories (especially ones I play in)

Write a book and have it published in the game. There were a lot of people who did this in the past. You will find books on all kinds of topics in the various libraries in game.

The info about the undead halfling village is all in that area. With detects and careful examination of the descriptions in each room, it's not hard to figure out.

Not sure about the rest, though.
