And what's the difference between maces or flails? Are there "pole" flails in the game?

I feel like I only ever see priests using pole-maces, and other than that, no one ever uses flails or maces in the front row.

Maces are a straight shaft with a solid head, Flails are similar except there is a chain linking the shaft to the head.

Occasionally I'll come across a mercenary that specializes in flail. I think I remember Enfield specializing in flail, but none of the other mercenaries -I- recall lived as long as him. I've used it as a priest during my early leveling days, but I tend to use pole-maces when I get my hands on one.

Is there a difference as far as SK game play? I don't think I've ever seen anyone use a flail in battle, but admittedly, my PK isn't really.. existent.

ETA Neat, Kira!

Flail > axe for shaman.

Flails are a non parry weapon I believe since they are attached to a chain. Polemaces have reach and I don't recall a flail weapon with reach.

So reach and parriability.

I used them until the update when you can't pick up your weapon during battle, then stopped. They're the easiest weapon in the game to disarm.

Actually they have a bonus to disarming other people, so you're about completely wrong on that.
