For instance I think bash should show up as red or in a way that distinguishes it from typical battle spam. I understand people can use clients and triggers to change the color of these types of messages but it would be even more beneficial to everyone if they were colored differently than typical battle spam. Not sure if this would be in a huge thorn in your side Dulrik but I just feel it would be an overall improvement to SK and benefit people who play from clients like telnet.

It would be for me because while I use Mushclient I don't know how to make any triggers or do anything fancy. I don't even know how to make character specific Aliases.

I tried mushclient and have a bunch of triggers for changing the colors on there, but it crashes on me so much that I've found it to not even be worth it. I went back to Zmud, and unfortunately, I do not know how to change the colors on that one. :/

Weird, my MUSHclient triggers never crashed on me.

That's only because you do it right.

What's weird is I sent mspoopertrooper all my aliases via email, so she should have had all the same ones I had. I wonder what happened. I sent them to other players who didn't report any problems.

Shift+control+8 to get into the triggers menu
Add new trigger
On the trigger line at the top, you would do:

* bashes you and you are sent sprawling! (or whatever the message is)

Leave send box blank.

Go down to Change color and style to box

Select which color you want the text to be changed to. (You can also click the boxes to have the text underlined, etc, if you have configured Mushclient to accept that kind of text modification)

Done.

As a bonus, you can add a sound to whenever you are bashed (or you successfully bash others)

* is the wildcard, which is replacing the name (or adjective) of whoever is bashing you.

Yeah, and I uploaded them onto it exactly how you mentioned to, as well. The only thing I did was delete some of the more character-specific triggers you had, and I added some aliases, none of which should have conflicted with anything. I don't know enough about the program to try and fix the problem, and I'm not determined enough to buckle down and learn.

Thanks again for having sent them though, it was really nice having those triggers. I wish I could find something like that for zmud!

I'm using zmud at home, with some of the triggers and scripts mentioned in the related clients thread. If you like, I could give it a try to convert any triggers.
