There is such a lack of bardings, can tailors atleast be made capable of tailoring skins into bardings? If you're a light armored class, the best you can get is some stinking bronze. Please address this with some thought.

There are at least 7 different mithril bardings.

What I find even more annoying is that none of the starting areas have it and, almost none of the lower level centaur shops sell them. Just leggings.

IMO, this makes the newbie grounds very unfriendly to newbies. If a race can make that their starting city, it should have equipment appropriate for that race. Griffon weapons are more prevalent but not in all of their starting areas. Centaur equipment is non-existent in any starting area, as far as I know. There might be large armor but no horseshoes and no barding. Sprites are also woefully under geared. Very few if any starting places had equipment appropriate for sprites. You have to have previous knowledge to get sprite gear. I am NOT saying that everything should be given on a silver platter, only in the starting areas.

If I recall correctly, bardings were never meant to be that accessible because it completely negates one of the weaknesses Centaurs had. I may be remembering that wrong though..

As for the starting area and Sprites..Yeah, that's rough. Theres really not any good starting areas for a Sprite and the only place that carries free Sprite gear is the Sprite city, which is way out in the middle of nowhere.

When newbie area monsters can maul a centaur because they are going after the legs, they need the initial protection

I believe Muktar should have his posting privileges revoked.

I agree. What the crap are you smoking, Muktar? There isn't a leveling ground under level 20 where anyone will mangle a centaur's legs unless said centaur is a minimum CON sorcerer or something: Unless you're going after the hardest NPCs in the leveling area at level 1, in which case it doesn't matter anyway since the NPCs just stun.

One NPC mangled a set of centaur legs: Grizzled Zakami. Don't get me started on the rockcrusher. So, try again noobs

My point still stands, every race that can start in an area shouldn't be hampered by either needing to save god loads of coin, or know knowledge before hand to leave and go somewhere else. Each starting area should be complete for all races.

Just because I can roll a sprite sorc and get out-melee'd by the determined humans in the Collegium doesn't mean that every newbie area needs a revamp.
