Since kick was mentioned in another thread, I have had thoughts about this skill. I talked to someone the other day about this. Make an enhanced kick skill that would put a round or two round dazed effect (could be one, could be the other, could be randomly both), upon successful use of it, against the person. It would not make the person kicked prone, but it would make it harder for the recipient to perform normal skills like casting, bashing, tripping, quaffing vials or other things associated with battle. Harder, not impossible. Give this skill to at least swashbuckler.

You do realize he took that from Street Fighter, right?

Going off of what Jerinx said in the other thread, what if all of the classes that had bash, or a form thereof (trip, horde). What if each of those classes a unique bash that doesn't cover everything bash does now but covers some.

Not saying these are what they should be just talking point starters.

Barbarian's Bash: Would knock prone but doesn't stop non-complex abilities (whatever that is determined).

Merc's Bash: Would interrupt whatever non-basic attack action, but would not knock prone.

Swashbucker's Kick: Gives a short debuff that lowers attack and lengthens casting times.

....

This would only work if flee in pvp is nerfed severely.

I honestly don't think you know enough about how PvP currently works to make a real contribution to this thread, and I say this with absolutely no intention to flame whatsoever.

You say that but it is implied. Jerinx threw out an idea and I built off of it. One of the main reasons why bash is just spammed to win in many cases (not all but many) is because of how debilitating it is. I would argue you are unable to see the problem, and therefore, you don't have any real contribution to this thread. Aside from instant death abilities, can you name one ability that can shut down nearly every class?
