OK so I am reading this log and I see some people with their NPCs, and I am seeing some pretty odd damage messages coming out. Well after the NPC dies there is a rush to grab these weapons kicking out this nice damage and they are some of the more elite pieces in the game.

So I thinks to myself, cause I do that way too much, this, this is always a problem, peoples who haves NPCs likes to hoards thems bigs weapons for themselves and outfits their NPCs with thems.

I know it is kind of silly, but why can we do this?

Now see some NPCs come with these big weapons so we go and kill them and take them, doesn't matter what our aura is cause that is seldom relevant when it comes to loot, but the NPCs had them, we take them, and now we have high level people hangning on to several weapons to avoid being disarmed and SOL and now so their pets can be as elite as they are, well they aren't pets they are NPCs but NPCs are pets or steaks for the most part.

So why don't we have some rule to to stop people from this practice, I mean hard coding really isn't fair, but advantages in PK outweigh good sportsmanship most of the time, YOU go back a few words and read that qualifier "most" before becoming a troll monkey, so how do we set it up to have some good sportsmanship so we aren't gathering the leetest of leet to be used on NPCs?

Yeah PK is flavor, pk keeps things interesting, but RP should dominate over PK in all instances even if you have to eat hundreds of hours of loot preperation. I can even say I have been guilty of this.

This is a statement on an observation that seems really silly, a NPC being drug around by a PC decked out in gear that makes most PC's stuff look like utter useless crap. Yeah you worked your rear off to get that gear, but if you are only using if for NPCs or are in a position where you can't use it except in the case where you are griefing people so they can't use it, where is the JUSTIFIABLE rp in that?

STAY TUNED: NPC Wars: Episode II The Relentless bad Attitude Menace.

Because of certain children in the game, hoarding will never stop unless it is hard coded.

You don't have to be a child to hoard. You can want to win in PvP.

I feel like an idiot responding to a gameplay thread started by spidermonkey.

This idea is dumb.

I agree hoarding weapons to use on NPCs is dumb.

Told you elsewhere not to engage me on days like today.

This post was mostly incomprehensible. Not sure what to comment on.

Please learn English. We don't speak whatever crazy stupid language you are trying to use. Read a damn book.

I think you were trying to say that some people use good weapons on their tribunal guard NPCs. Good observation. If you don't do this, you are either not in a tribunal, or you are dumb. If you are a sorc, necro or you use the domination skill and you don't pimp out your charmie, you are dumb.

Once again, don't be dumb, learn English and have a nice day.

Warning issued for flaming on a non-flaming permitted forum. I think the message was clear enough: There are enough reasons to hoard weapons as it is without needing them for your pets and charms. Ergo pets and charms should not be allowed weapons.

This pretty much sums it up.

I find it irritating that someone is hauling a level 35-40 NPCs around with a weapon someone else in the game can put to good use. I understand it is one of those things that should be governed by good judgement, but some people see the need to "win" to exceed the need to play fair, no need to point fingers as this is a general overview of the problem.

My intention was to initiate a dialog where we could come up with a feasable solution to solve this, through implimentation of a new rule or a new piece of code. I would prefer a rule as "YOU CAN'T DO THAT" is really annoying.

I would like to see a healthy solution to this.

When you say these things, it makes me wonder if you have played SK before.
