I think I've played a centaur like once.

Centaur/giant/etc are generally not very good races. Their stats don't make up for their weaknesses, mostly because their "high" stats, are..like strength. Which you can cast GS before going into PK, and bam, you're at 24/25 str regardless of race.

One of the biggest flaws to larger sized races is that their equipment weighs a ridiculous amount, and their carrying cap isn't much higher than a human warrior's. In the case of centaurs, it's the exact same. When one piece of large sized eq weighs 48 lbs, I think there's a problem. Or when a weapon is literally too heavy for a giant to wield when its their size. Wtf.

The weight scaling on eq needs to be toned down.

It's more like human classes that get the strength bonus get a huge +bonus to their carrying capacity.

I don't think this needs to be visited. The problem likely stems from trying to equip diamond armor, which *is* heavy.

If you think centaurs with heavy armor are tough to play, try playing an elf.

How is this different from a heavy armor delf!

It is very different since you do not play a deep-elf mercenary.

I don't think I've ever tried a large race aside from griffon, so I can't really say much to that. Giant sized things, however, do weigh a ridiculous amount. And the giants I've played have never wore diamond armor, though some have had diamond weapons. Plain steel suits, while not the lightest material, still is decent starting gear for a human warrior. Take that same suit and put it on a giant and they're basically already at half capacity and that's if they're at max str. Giant weights could definitely stand to come down at least a bit.

If you don't want to deal with the high weight, don't play a giant. Nobody is forcing you to play a giant merc/barb.

I still find it hilarious in a game of fantasy, the humanish races (elf/delf/human/helf) are the preferred races and yet, I am pretty sure whenever anyone wishes to make a fantasy char, they DON'T wish to be what they already are.

I find it hilarious that you consider elf, and deep-elf as humanish.

Problem: I don't like how lowsy Swashbucklers/Rogues/Bards are.
Solution: Don't play one. Nobody is forcing you to play these classes.

Problem: I don't like how often disarm works.
Solution: Don't play a mele charcter. Nobody is forcing you to play a class that can be disarmed.

Problem: I don't like how well ironguard works.
Solution: Don't engage in PK against people with ironguard. Nobody is forcing you to PK them.

Problem: I don't like how ....
Solution: Don't play SK. Nobody is forcing you to play the game

This...

...doesn't even remotely constitute as an argument.

Actually, it really does. It is one of the drawbacks of playing a larger-than-medium race. Consider it a racial weakness and move on.
