Both bards and persuade could use some help, and the biggest thing should be to eliminate persuade from being illegal. While bard songs and power chords are magic like, they are not magic and so completely ignore MR. If persuade isn't this way too, it should be. It's like somebody on the street coming up to you and saying, "Hey bud, would you mind giving poor ol' me a lift? My kid's sick and my car broke down, and I've got a broken toe..." That's illegal? Especially if you get so pissed off that you attack them? I could see keeping persuade that involves illegal actions being illegal, but the rest should go.
Also, the initial reaction for a failed persuade shouldn't be that the guy attacks, and it should be the attacker that then is reported for attacking. Persuade could also work on the impairment system where repeated attempts could slowly wear someone down into performing the act. But at the same time, repeated attempts could also increase the chances of an attack. Things like an agressive stance and being a minotaur could maybe also naturally increase the chances of attacking, but it shouldn't be the absolute default.
Thoughts?
This would all be more reasonable if the helpfile didn't clearly indicate that persuade was an attempt to use sweet talking PLUS magic to have their way with someone.
