Suggestion: a vial brewed with a single debuff (vial of deafness, vial of curse, vial of weaken, etc.) should bypass resistances when quaffed.

Usable as a roleplay tool and in some cases as a mechanical ability. Maybe that priest of Sadr wants you to be blind, deaf and plagued while you sit in the cold meditating on your insignificance and strengthening yourself through your suffering? Maybe you need to get ready for that group's bard.

You can't brew debuffs can you?

I can see that. Not sure if swashies and bards need that debuff though, since those two classes would suffer the most from vials of deafness.

Maybe a bard could plant one on you and persuade you to quaff it?

...

The point being that bards songs and taunts don't affect deaf people.

I think he means a bard would plant other debuffs, like weaken or blindness.

I think this is a good idea. It'd bring more utility to the persuade command, for sure.

Only when someone's prepared for it!

Is not always the case.

And anyways, more often than not, war parties have a healer in the group. Healer can cure deafness, make bard songs/persuade work!

Any bard that actually thinks they can persuade a PC is delusional...Especially a PC above mentor level..
