Ok I know this has been discussed many many times, but I mean really, I've spent 12 in games hours trying to tame an animal that's equal to or maybe weaker then a sorc charming a GM NPC....how long does it take that sorc to charm that NPC...no time. Now then, I'm not saying I should instantly tame the animal, that's silly but if i have a MAX charisma score and am GM, the animals consider no match so he's what...master status....It shouldn't take me spamming tame over 100 times to tame him. and yes this a complaint thread

A valid complaint thread. Agree wholeheartedly.

I really do not understand why Dulrik's response to people previously complaining about having to spam tame hundreds of times was to...add lag to tame? And as far as I have seen, leave the success rate the same as it's always been. So now it still takes you hundreds of tame attempts, but..with lag now.

Fantastic.

Leave the lag on tame, and if an animal is tameable, just make it succeed on the first try. Also, give a message for things that aren't tameable due to level.

I agree tame needs some sort of message if you can't tame something, it's sadistic torture otherwise.

Well the general concept I've seen so far from tame is, if it's con'd as no match, it's tamable as long as it doesn't "ignore you" the problem here is, I spent almost a whole in game day tameing a pet that I will not have as soon as I log out and back in. Why not just toss me in jail too while your at it, at least they give me free food and water three times a day. Yes I know it's not always going to take a day, hell it even happens on the first or third attempt....but isn't that the problem?

Yeah this is a no-brainer. Please change Mr. D.

Um. Yeah. On Miri, a GM elf with max cha, it oftentimes took me up to ten or more irl minutes to tame something considered an easy kill. I even tried modding int and wis to see if it affected the issue, and it didn't. Nobody wants to sit there dealing with spam for ten minutes.

Exactly my point Ms. I just would like to see tame have some kind of scale affect, I've had times where I've gotten start's to warm up to you in a row then bam, he starts growling at me, or on a tame that's hostile from the beginning, you calm him then tame him right away. maybe use the tame scale affect that's already in the game, but put it to use. if you get 15 oh hey this guy is kinda guy messages in a row...something should happen. I just hate the inconsistency.

This has been brought up before and if still nothing has been done about it then obviously nothing is going to be done about it. But then again from what I can tell is there even a point to making a scout? well beside being someone herb b***h? Ranged attacks as far as I can tell are a joke anyways.

Someone can tell me that I am wrong, because I am working on my bad memory, but isn't weapon spec better than rapid shot?
