Post subject:  Bring Back Fountain RP

I find myself nostalgic for the days of Fountain RP popular at the start of this millennium. Now it seems fountain RP has shifted to INN RP, with no fountains.

I think the regeneration zone should be City Centers, the bustling intersection of commerce and patronage:

Cathedral of Menegroth
Exile Cross
Plaza of the Feathered Dragon
Center of Pyrathia
The Lemonade Fountain in Sith
Center in Kol's Moot
and so forth..

There is a NPC in the Collegium in the Empire that was used during Hero Tournaments (astral watcher), it randomly teleports PCs immediately when they engage in any sort of combat. Or any attempt to engage can be met with "there's far too many witnesses", much like trying to junk a corpse results in "your neighbors might get suspicious". I feel as though one of these NPCs should be placed at each City Center and we can return to the Golden Days of Shattered Kingdoms. Then RP characters like Jaena and Gailehn can live in peace. There is no poll because the obvious answer is yes.

The people who want to avoid PK have no problem avoiding PK.

The people who have a problem avoiding PK are the whiny hoes who join the Crucible, gank newbs like Kougyoku (and Gailehn? rofl) and then whine when they get stomped into the dirt.

Does she not realize that I have FOEd her and never read anything she says?

Chem. This is the best idea since the threeway. Though not the Devil's threeway, that's for heathens and pillow biters.

Oh no. I have been FOEd.

And Chem is right. This is a [REDACTED] idea.

I don't see how you can run around ganking RPing newbs (lol, including the people mentioned), and then make a post like this claiming it's for them.

That takes a special kind of [REDACTED].

I'm obsessed? Syndal is responding to herself. Rage on, princess. I can only imagine what you're writing.

If the RP moved from the inn to the fountain, so would the PK. I don't think this suggestion solves anything.
Players will be killed wherever they happen to be... no matter how much some of us try to avoid getting involved in things that would encourage it.

This is something that gets brought up time and time again. From my personal experience, inn RP has never really been really a dangerous thing. It does has its risks, but only if you are completely oblivious to basic defensive measures. I'd rather not see anywhere be forced into a "peace only" area, because it'll only be abused by active PKers looking for a safety haven + free report. I suppose if your gripe is bring back the Fountain in Fountain RP, you could just make all the inns like Sith'a'neil and put water fountains in them.

Like Syn, I have to agree that except on very rare occasions, people who don't -sincerely- want to Pk typically don't get PK'd because they don't put themselves in positions that typically has PK portions to it.

In the day, cabals were supposed to be RP intensive organizations. We've fallen so far.
