Title says it all. Charming a tribunal member while he has a guard in his party and the guard simply walking out of the room despite an obvious attack is beyond ridiculous. No way to report a successful charm afterwards either. Shouldn't this be an attempter murder at least?

While we are on topic.

Dispelling, an aggressive act, an elemental is not a crime and doesn't initiate combat.

The dispelling not being a crime seems fair to me. Attacking pets is not a crime either, is it?

But the charm thing is pretty silly I agree.

It really is tough. I wish something could be done to all 1-shot spell attempts. A failed (or successful) charm, a failed petrification, a voodoo, a backstab... from a gameplay perspective, I think that attacks on trib members should be reverted to being reportable (yes, I'm aware of the history here). In lieu of that, these 1-shot kill skills should have some reportable element for people using them on trib members, even if they do not kill.

A charmed PC can be summoned back fairly easily. Additionally there is remove compulsion. The charm spell is overpowered, but this is not the fix.

The only way you'll get summoned back is if you have a summon-enabled buddy standing there when the charm happens.

All you have to do to win with charm is c charm, quaff recall, o all remove all, o all drop all. There's no way for anyone to even get summoned back fast enough to stop that.

I don't care about this as much anymore because charm has become a lot harder to land, but it's still crappy.
