The lag time on vials and herbs should be increased a bit. A person with max MR shouldn't be able to spam eat herbs and warriors shouldn't be able to spam quaff vials. This isn't preparation, this is just access to heals that heal a ton of HP instantly. Either that or the amount that vials heal should be cut down a bit. Discuss. |

As far as discussion goes, this isn't something that can be done in a vaccuum. Any nerf to potions would necesarily require balancing of throw-away NPCs. When a sanctuaried/armored elemental with a bit of healing rays can last 5+ rounds against even the wildest DPSer, or a sorc can roll up on someone with two gstr/hasted barbarian charms, it's absolutely necessary that warriors be able to take care of themselves, too, because they don't get a mulligan when they go down. |

Actually, no. I haven't even been on in a while. I don't really play that much anymore. As for the elementals lasting 5 + rounds..They can last about 3 rounds or so against huge DPS at best. 5 is a stretch at best unless the elemental is somehow insanely spelled up. It's just that some of the logs you see warriors get all vial and they have 82903840932809432 vials of heal. I dunno, I just think there should be some way to make it so people can't just quaff vials and solo guardians or other things they normally couldn't. I get that having vials brewed is part of prepping and whatnot, but people shouldn't be able to spam quaff / eat herbs. Look at bash and quaffing. Bash a person. Quaff a vial between rounds when hurt. Bash. Rinse and repeat. The lag should be enough that if they have to quaff a vial, they miss a bash attempt or so. |

I agree with the option: Quaff or bash. |

For a warlock to give his elemental sanctuary, armor, and moderate haste requires approximately as much effort as dialing your local dominos and asking for a pizza delivery. An elemental with those buffs and a couple healing rays survives 5 rounds easily against any 1 PC. As to the rest, I'm just not sure why your position is "people shouldn't be able to do bad-ass things". Are you against bad-asses? |

Herbs should be seen as food, vials as liquid. New affect = "bloated", automatic slow and fatigue. New affect = "hiccups", automatic slow and fatigue. As chugging potions and gorging on herbs will result in both of these, combat-interfering, results. |

If that were to happen, people would complain that everyone was running around hungry and thirsty, then want a coded system that started doing damage to the person for denying their body, and ultimately lead to death if left unattended. |

MR griffon barbarian. Code: [HP: 73] [ME: 53] [PE: 96] You pound a giant legionnaire's head, causing a pulsating wound. A jaundiced male human's flaming bite starts your chest on fire. Your shield blocks a jaundiced male human's attack. A jaundiced male human's flaming bite starts your chest on fire. You dodge a giant legionnaire's attack. Overall, a giant legionnaire has some small wounds and bruises. [HP: 60] [ME: 53] [PE: 96] You eat a small green branch covered in red berries. Your spell of blindness appears to have no effect. You resist the effect of your own spell. You resist the effect of your own spell. [HP: 76] [ME: 53] [PE: 96] You eat a small green branch covered in red berries. You dodge a giant legionnaire's attack. Overall, a giant legionnaire has some small wounds and bruises. This is really dumb. Can the lag on eat be increased, please? They probably heal for even more now since berserk increases MR. |
