So I've been watching the logs where the necro's come in with alot of undead and their escape button for ethereal. They go ethereal but still can just wipe people with undead. My thought is that the ethereal form was for escape not "hahahaha you can't get me but I can get you!" Why not make it so that if said necro goes ethereal their undead drop because the necro isn't on that plane of reality anymore to supply their magic. Just a thought I had from reading logs :drunk:

Can't wait to hear Edoras and Syn QQ about this. I agree with you. If you can't be targeted, you can't control it.

I'll admit it's a little OPed to have a complete army of undead in front of you to kill everyone in sight, meanwhile you've got a "can't touch this" aura around you. But if you ask Dulrik to change this, he's probably going to change it for sorcs/charms too.

If the necro goes ethereal use dispel on them. Dispel is going to be ridiculous now with the new enchant changes.

Another version of this would be that you can't order your army while you're ethereal. But I actually don't think this change is necessary. Just add a shop somewhere where they sell some etherealform pills.

If this happened, one or two people would own every pill in the game.

Nope.

I guess I should have clarified. Add a shop that sells no save pills similar to the wands that can currently be bought. They don't need to be limited in number, just relatively expensive.

I don't think ethereal wands/staves should exist. Maybe not even scrolls. I can think of a quest or two that might need changing, though...

Ethereal it's self isn't a problem, if you can read a scroll, use a wand/stave or are sorc, you can go ethereal. The problem is with the fact that a person can go ethereal at 100%, can't be touched by the people they are fighting because they can't use scrolls and such and 1 or more of them are killed and looted because according to their RP, they can't ignore the attack.

Just ones control over NPCs stripped once they go ethereal. As for Terrus's counter, most classes don't have dispel or any other means of a defense with such a tactic aside from a word of recall vial.
