That would be great, but I know Dulrik would at least spell [REDACTED] right. |

Actually, genius, it doesn't affect an area, it bounces from individual to individual. If it is coded that way, it is still single target with the target switching after every hit. |

Let me make it easy for you. AoE (Area of Effect) which implies that it hits multiple targets at the SAME time. Chaining effects = Are effects that are single target that chain to another single target. Depending on how it is actually coded/flagged they can be two completely different things. I will refrain from flaming you. In that I had to rewrite this several times to pull out the flames. Class dismissed. |

It affects everyone in the room at the same time in a single spell. That is pretty much the Definition of AoE. |

Not only did you completely make up the second term for whatever reason, I've also *never* heard of it. Ever. Anywhere. AoE does not mean it hits multiple targets at the same time. It means that it has effects on an area. There are non-combat AoE spells. Like D&D's circles of law/chaos/good/evil. The fact that you are unable to grasp the three words, "area of effect" is just astonishing. Chain lightning is placing an *effect* (lightning damage) on an *area* (a room). |
