Dulrik, when you made spirit dolls into a symbol for shamans, did you intentionally leave them with 2 greater enchants(10 total enchants)? Opposed to normal symbols which come with 3 total enchants.

I honestly don't remember changing it to a symbol. Was there an announcement from me making that an official change? If so, can you dig it up for me?

I don't see anything by you about it. Not sure who else would have that ability, though?

They're definitely symbols now, though. And been that way for a while. Used to be held in your hand, prior to that.

Being held in your hand is what I remember. A couple of people might have had the ability to change that, as the item slot does not require code access. When did this change take place?

I did a search and had to of been after 2010. Found a post by WW saying she would rather hold the spirit doll then use a weapon.

Did some detective work.

1. The idea was originally proposed by a player here:

2. At about that same time, I made a thread about easy ideas to implement here:
http://www.shatteredkingdoms.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=20262

3. On the immortal email list, one imm compiled a list of all the things that were said in the second thread, and although I can't find the doll suggestion anywhere in the second thread, it looks like the suggestion got added to that list.

4. In response to that email, I said I already had a list of changes and I would get back when we wanted to make any additional changes based on the list in that email.

5. ? -- Undiscussed change occurred.

6. Today, Wicked Witch mentions that doll is currently a symbol, a change I have no recollection of making. I am pretty certain that I would never have made that change, as I feel strongly the symbol slot should only be used for religions. And also the fact that it was specifically given double stat bonuses because of the inconvenience of using a hand slot.

7. Effective immediately, new dolls will once again only be holdable.

So, once again they become worthless except for in voodoo situations? I would think that if the stats were maxed out earlier, they would rather have that then not being usable. Which was the problem originally.
