Yeah, I did. And that's exactly part of the reason of what made me make this thread. Etherealform is an absolute safety net, especially for sorcs or necros with MI up.
The thing is, you should not be able to dispel or summon people WHILE ethereal. It's not an issue of l2p, it's an issue that you can literally do absolutely nothing to harm the sorc unless you have both a truesight potion AND a means to etherealform. Now, I may be a noob but I do know that truesight is pretty damn rare and there is only 1 quest I know of that actually gives you access to it and only one time since it can't be brewed, not that a lightie would brew etherealform for a darkie anyways.
No, the issue is the fact that they can summon / dispel stuff while ethereal with absolute zero risk.

That, right there, is a very wrong logic. "XYZ class can already do ABC, they can afford without DEF". Wrong. What a class already CAN do, should not be a determining factor on whether they afford to be wimped or buffed. Nerfs and buffs come in terms of balance among classes, not based on how many stuff a class can do on its own compared to some invisible metric to see if they afford buffs or nerfs.
Actually, it's not. I'm not asking for them to lose etherealform. I'm asking for them to lose the capability of participating in combat while ethereal when no one without the etherwire + a truesight potion can harm them. A sorc already has defensive measures and with impairment and the enchantment changes, saves have gotten a bit harder to attain meaning they've already eaten another buff with that. The fact that dispel has an impairment, unless I'm wrong on this, means they can spam it while ethereal as it has a very short cast time, while impairing the willpower of the target dramatically.
Ethereal spells should only affect ethereal targets, period. There should be no safety net that allows them to participate in combat while remaining nearly 100% safe from its repercussions. Saves don't matter when you can't actively harm the target trying to dispel you repeatedly.
