Should have its PE cost and chance of success increased.

It's fine. I'm pretty sure it's based on dex and skill level. Some terrain only allows for x amount of snares. If you're trying to throw down 8 in an area that isn't suited then you only have yourself to blame. What you really want is snare bypassing group mates.

Yeah, bypassing your group would make sense since you know exactly where you put the snares.

As far as setting them on roads and high traffic areas, its just seems like I have a 40-50% chance of getting caught in my own snare.
I feel that if it was a viable strategy, snares would be used more often but so far have only managed to snare one person. Myself.

Yourself and probably some newbies with whom you have no quarrel but for whom you are causing considerable hassle.

If you play a scout with enemies, chances are good that they're flying anyway.

Newbies? What newbies? Not my fault they didn't invest in some dex. :)

Yeah I guess I could see the fly argument there, but you'd be surprised at how many people don't or choose not too because of the penalties that come with it. Just because it can be easily avoided via a fly spell shouldn't mean it doesn't deserve getting a closer look at.
I guess I just hate having a skill in my skillset that never gets used.
